RESPONSE TO COVID-19

WMCAT is committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for young people and adults to pursue opportunity. That commitment means we are vigilant about the safety of our students, staff, and community. Following the “New Emergency Order” given by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) in response to COVID-19, WMCAT has suspended all on-site programming and our facility will remain closed until January 4, 2021. Please follow our website, wmcat.org, or social media channels for updates.

We will however be “open” to our students, families, and stakeholders as WMCAT staff will be working remotely and maintaining access to email and phones. See our staff page to connect via email

As we continue to monitor local, state, and national alerts and recommendations, we will communicate updates directly with students and staff, and with our broader community through social media and our website wmcat.org.

Please contact us with any questions.

Health + Safety at WMCAT

WMCAT follows all health and safety guidelines informed by local, regional, and national sources. Each person who enters our facility will need to use a face covering, practice social distancing, and participate in health screenings and touchless temperature readings prior to entrance. WMCAT’s COVID-19 Health + Safety Guidelines are available upon request.

Facility Rentals at WMCAT

WMCAT has used its in-depth health and safety guidelines to provide our community with a clean and safe rental space that fully respects local laws, CDC guidelines, and more. Events and meetings of 10 or fewer people are available and provide guests social distancing configurations and a full checklist of action items to promote guests’ health and safety. Learn more on our Facility Rental page.

We are taking all the possible precautions at this time to keep staff, students and visitors healthy and safe, but like in any COVID-19 situation, we cannot guarantee that there is no risk by being in public spaces.

Please contact us with any questions.
