TEEN ARTS + TECH ENROLLMENT
Our nationally recognized Teen Arts + Tech Program engages high school students from Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) in creative, tuition-free afterschool experiences from September through May. Classes meet twice a week at West Michigan Center for Arts + Technology (WMCAT) on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
– You must be in grades 9-12 and currently attend Grand Rapids Public Schools.
– Attend the Open Enrollment event (more information below) on September 7 or 14 with the attached enrollment form (below) signed by a parent/guardian. Both form and attendance at the Open Enrollment event are required for enrollment.
– Submit your enrollment form by September 14.
WMCAT staff will notify all students to confirm their placement before the first day of class.

When do classes meet?
Twice a week on Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs from 3:30-5:30 p.m., Monday, September 19 – Wednesday, December 14, 2022.
When are the Open Enrollment events?
September 7 OR 14, 3:30-5PM

Attendance at one of the two open enrollment events is required for enrollment. Studio placements are made on a first-come, first-served basis, doors open at 2:30PM with sessions starting promptly at 3:30PM. Parents/guardians are welcome.
Where do classes meet and how do I get there?
WMCAT is located at 614 First Street NW Suite 300, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.
GRPS provides daily yellow bus transportation to WMCAT from area schools, and a city bus pass to get home from WMCAT. Check with your school’s main office for bus pick-up location or contact WMCAT for details at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How much does it cost?
The program is tuition-free for all participants.
Safety + COVID-19
Masking is recommended by not required at WMCAT.* Please continue to practice caution: if you are not feeling well or have been in close contact with someone that’s COVID positive, stay home.
*WMCAT monitors COVID transmission levels and public health guidelines; masks may be required should transmission levels warrant additional precautions.
